Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (“Data Act“) introduces rules on access to and use of data generated by the use of connected products (IoT) and any related services. In particular, it requires that certain information be made available prior to the conclusion of the contract (purchase/rental/lease) for the products concerned.

TERMAL SRL operates as a distributor/retailer.
For Mitsubishi Heavy Industries connected products (HVAC sector), official information relating to the Data Act, including the products concerned and how to access the data generated, is published by the manufacturer/data holder on the MHIAE website (https://mhiae.com/eu-data-act/).

What data and what products

Connected products can generate/obtain/collect data relating to usage, performance or the environment and communicate it via a wired or wireless connection.
For MHI products, the data “in scope” (generally raw or pre-processed data readily available to the data holder) and the list of connected products concerned are indicated on the official MHIAE website (https://mhiae.com/eu-data-act/#products).

Access to data (general information)

According to MHIAE’s publication:

• Smart M-Air: users have direct access to the data generated via the app on their device.
• M-ACCESS: users have direct access to the data generated; for operating instructions on access and download, please refer to the documentation/user manual indicated by MHIAE.
